For a while maple might have been a bit misrepresented in the acoustic world, developing a reputation for being too bright for some, and lacking the richer character of other classic tonewoods. But historically, maple has actually been one of the classic tonewoods for other stringed instruments in the violin family. Taylor has revoiced its maple 600s to re-introduce its true voice to guitar players, and the results have been amazing. If you have preconceptions about maple, check them at the door, because these guitars deliver plenty of the warmth, depth, richness and sustain your ears crave in an acoustic guitar, without losing the clarity and transparency that allows maple to reflect the player and fit into a mix with other instruments.

Condition:

The guitar had a top repair. Part of the woodgrain began to separate so it was filled and refinished in the area. It is not a full crack that goes threw the woodgrain and will not separate any further. The repair was done professionally and the finish is smooth to the touch. The included hard-shell case may have a few scratches or scuffs but is also in overall excellent condition. Unlike most refurbished guitars that we sell as described under more info below, this guitar still has its original Serial Numbers and we do not see a "Used stamp" on the headstock.

More Info: We are an authorized dealer for brand approved manufacturer refurbished instruments. These guitars are sent directly from the manufacturer to the authorized refurbishing center where they are fully inspected and cleared by a certified technician. The guitars are sent there for many reasons, including: cosmetic flaws, minor repairs & discontinued or last years models. The guitars are given a new serial number and the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" or "2nd" by the authorized refurbishing center. All of our guitars come with a new professional setup, but may require a small amount of adjustments or fine tuning upon arrival to fit the players personal taste or to offset any normal changes that may occur from transit or climate. These guitars are the next best thing to buying new!
